rats mod bugging out over farmer's delight tomato plants #926

I saw another post issued about this 2 years ago and it was claimed to have been fixed, but in 1.20.1 Rats mod version: 8.1.3 I am having an issue with the rat's trying to harvest crop tomatoes, but they end up breaking them when they are not ready to be harvested and generating infinite amounts of tomato seeds, and ignoring all the rest of my mature crops.
They have the seed upgrade, which lets them gather crops without breaking them, but the rats seem to be confused about the tomato plants thinking that they are ripe when they are not and then spam harvesting them over and over. I even tried bonemealing every crop to let them mature first to see if that would make them less confused, but they still did it regardless and would start breaking the same crop over and over on repeat before running back and forth to their chest to deposit it.
There is also a similar issue regarding them harvesting Supplementaries Flax crop, where when they use the seed upgrade, instead of the crops growing back from the soil, they bud 2 blocks high into the air rendering them useless.
