How to use Scoop if 7-zip.org is blocked by my company? Geoblock on Russia?

I'm a new Scoop user. I use it on my home PC without problems. However, at work, I have problems. It appears my company in the US blocks 7-zip.org possibly because of a geoblock on Russia. The 7-zip.org domain does not resolve on our nameservers. This means scoop install git fails because it apparently relies on 7-zip.

What can I do?

Download 7-zip somewhere and install it by yourself. Restart the console and run scoop config use_external_7zip true.
