Add tests to `format_cropr` and `generic_formatting`

These functions are not tested (or very lightly).

We should test the outputs of the functions against all possibilities for the plotting options. We can take inspiration from the way we test the plots structures, *i.e.* using a csv file describing all possible options and the output we expect.
