Bug: Error for abbreviations for new buildings

Describe the Bug/Issue
The sidebar in the calendar view can't show abbreviations for new buildings.

To Reproduce

1. Add CSC 225 for Fall 2023.
2. Notice the abbreviation issue on the sidebar.

Expected Behaviour

The proper abbreviation is shown and not undefined or fallback to non-abbreviated.
