"version tree generation failed..."

Hi,
Tried to use the Windows version on Windows 10, but I got that line in the log :
"Version tree generation failed..."

A log file has been generated and a dot file also, but no pdf nor .ps were created.
Any idea ?

I had the same problem with an easy solution. When you target your GIT repository path - target the folder where .git is located. Not the .git folder itself ...

Well, I did target the folder where my .git folder is located inside. Even like this it didnt work.

I do have Adobe Reader 11 installed also Git for Windows v2.11.1 and Graphviz2.38, I do have VS2010, VS2012, VS2015 installed, .Net Framework since 2.0 to 4.5. I put GitVersionTree inside my Program Files folder, I running it as admin. I tried to change the compatibilities to Win 7 also Win 8. But with all these combination it still didn't work.

Can I check some log file to find the issue?

UPDATE 1: Well, I cloned the code and ran it from my VS2015 and it worked fine. So I did pick the .exe available to download here and move it to my Desktop folder and tried to generate my graph again ( I was thinking it was related to some writing permission) and it still didn't work. So I think the .exe available here has some think preventing to this work fine over here.

UPDATE 2: I did pick the generate .exe on release folder inside the project, and now im using it and it is working fine. My guess is because i was generate with VS2010, but just a guess. Im going to find the problem root when I have some free time.

For me this was an issue with Graphviz (I installed v1.44). The graphviz installer apparently doesn't set up plugins, so I had to run dot.exe -c manually after installing
