Questions about the mysterious project deprecation

Docker is behaving very disrespectuflly to its users by this kind of decisions, the deprecation commit e60afef didn't describe why the project is being deprecated or if there are any replacement recommendations.

Does anyone happen to have answers for the following questions:

1. Why project was deprecated?
2. Is there a recommended replacement option?

I really appreciate if someone can explain what's going on with Docker.

I believe they are deprecating Docker Cloud in favour of Docker Enterprise and Docker CE.

Docker enterprise contains many new features including its own built-in configurable load balancer.
