I noticed that while countries have a translations property, states and cities do not. It would be useful to have this, since a number of them do have alternative names according to the language.
Examples:
"British Columbia" is "La Colombie-Britannique", in French
"Brussels" is "Bruxelles" in French and "Brussel" in Flemish
I am basing this on the data I am seeing when importing into Mongo DB. I'd be tempted to make some contributions, starting with Canada, but I just wanted to see if it would be acceptable.
I did look in both the bug and discussions, but I didn't see anything on this topic.
