Compatibility support for Tomcat 10

Hi Team,

I wanted to ask if there are any plans or an estimated timeline for RDF4J to officially support Tomcat 10.

Currently, RDF4J works well with Tomcat 9, but due to the namespace changes (javax.* → jakarta.*) introduced in Tomcat 10. It would be great to know if Tomcat 10 compatibility is on the roadmap or if there are any recommended workarounds for now.

Environment:

• RDF4J version: 5.1.0
• Tomcat version: 10.x
• Java version: 17

We have started looking into it. Hopefully we will secure some funding to have this done within the first half of 2026.

There are a lot of dependencies that we need to upgrade. Recently we discovered that Solr is very far behind and we will probably have to drop Solr in order to upgrade to a newer Tomcat and to Jakarta EE 11.
