Description
What Happened?
The Alt+Space key combo has some flaws:
- there is no keyboard short cut documented for it in the System Settings (afaics)
- Alt+Space seems to show the window (manager?) context menu
- entries of the context menu can't be navigated/selected with the keyboard
- context menu can't be closed with Esc
- depending on the monitor setup using Alt+Space with open context menu behaves unexpected (see below)
Steps to Reproduce
With single monitor (laptop):
- Open an app window, e.g. Terminal
- Press Alt+Space -> context menu opens
- Press Alt+Space again -> nothing happens -> ?!?!
- Press Alt+Space again -> context menu disappears
- Press Alt+Space again -> context menu opens again
Could be that steps 3./4. are the other way round (can't remember right now).
With multi-monitor (laptop + monitor (primary display)):
- Open an app window, e.g. Terminal
- Press Alt+Space -> context menu opens
- Press Alt+Space again -> context menu appears on the second monitor
- This context menu can't be closed with Esc and/or Alt+Space -> disappears only when mouse is clicked somewhere
Looks like the second menu is the context menu of the "monitor window".
Expected Behavior
- It should be possible to use the keyboard select entries of the context menu.
- It should be possible to close the context menu with Esc.
- In multi monitor setup the context menu of the monitor should not appear.
