stretch wallpaper should not keep aspect ratio

When firefox is resized, the screech algorithm apply an aspect ratio, and so cut some part of the wallpaper.
In my view, this is not what is intended when stretching a wallpaper (see the windows or gnome behaviour).
Maybe there should be an checkbox option to activate or not aspect ratio while stretching.
