Hello everyone,

My home assistant is running on a VM on my DS920+.
But USB loading is very buggy and not reliable ( need to remove and add all usb devices at startup :( )

My ConbeeII is connected to my home assistant with an socket ( Using a serial2net container ) like this :
socket://192.XX.XX.XX:XXXX.

Is it possible to implement the same feature on the custom component ?

you can try to change file
/custom_components/rfplayer/rfplayerlib/init.py

find
try:
(_, protocol) = await create_serial_connection(self.loop, protocol_factory, self.port, RFPLAYER_BAUD_RATE)
except (SerialException, OSError) as err:
raise RfPlayerException("Failed to create serial connection") from err

for a TCP client replace with something like:
(_, protocol) = await self.loop.create_connection(protocol_factory,'192.XX.XX.XX', XXXX)

if it works submit a PR and we'll review it.
