Hey @KunalSin9h Thanks for the question, as you mentioned: Hyperswitch is written in Rust. The Haskell reference in the video is about Juspay’s core payments infrastructure, not the Hyperswitch codebase. Here is the clear distinction: • Hyperswitch, the open source orchestration layer on GitHub, is built in Rust Juspay is the parent company behind Hyperswitch. The engineering practices and scale discussed in the video are about Juspay’s backend platform, which has been developed in Haskell over many years. We shared the video on the Hyperswitch channel so our community can understand the payment depth and real-world experience that powers the product. In short, there is no contradiction. The video explains the technology that powers Juspay’s core systems, while Hyperswitch is built in Rust. In case you are interested as to why we chose Rust, here is a blog |

Hey folks, great project! I just watched a video on YouTube where Arun explains how Juspay/Hyperswitch adopted Haskell for some good reasons. However, this project is written in Rust. Am I missing something? I’m just curious about why Hyperswitch is written in Rust and not haskell as stated by your head of product.
Thanks!
