Bug description

On my current Hardware I am not able to get rid of the Screen Tearing.
On my old PC i used this config:

Section "Device"
  Identifier "Intel Graphics"
  Driver "intel"
  Option "TearFree" "true"
EndSection

Saved in this location: /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf

But with the new Hardware it refuses to even boot after i save this config.
From what i found out the Tearing should be the fault of the Compositor which i cant change since i use Cinnamon with Muffin/Mutter.

Are there any other ways to get rid of that Screen Tearing?

Steps to reproduce

Install any Linux with Cinnamon Desktop Environment on this Hardware.

Expected behavior

No Screen Tearing out of the Box or after some fiddling with a config file etc.

Additional information

Sorry if I overlooked something obvious but i just can't figure out how to fix that problem on Cinnamon.
I tried KDE and I had no Tearing there.
