Hi, all
I’m learning to model the thermal behavior of charring ablative materials with the B’ tables. I know that the B’ tables can be yielded by bprime. I'm wondering if the elemental compositions of the char can contain both C and Si when calculating the B’ tables. If so, how is the proportion of the condensed species, such as C(gr), SiC, SiO2, etc., on the surface determined in theory? Is it determined by minimizing the Gibbs-free energy of the system? And are there any further constraints?
Thank you for your attention in this matter.
Regards,
Han
