Installation

ZTal has dependencies on both Zend Framework and PHPTAL. The current version of ZTal has been developed against the following versions of these packages:

• Zend Framework version 1.10.6
• PHPTAL version 1.2.3 (currently unreleased).

Your luck may vary with earlier versions of Zend Framework but ZTal will not work with earlier versions of PHPTAL.

Until PHPTAL 1.2.3 is formally released, you can apply a tiny patch to 1.2.2.

Installing ZTal can be done most easily via our PEAR Channel. Alternatively, you can download the source directly from here at GitHub. Please also make sure that ZF, PHPTAL and ZTal are all in your php include path.

Once all the packages have been installed, take a look at how to setup the example website. The example site itself is available as part of the PEAR package so will be found within the ZTal PEAR install directory and is also available directly from the Git repository.
