The Problem
It is extremely frustrating when a damaged warship charges into battle and dies while other, healthier warships could have defeated the enemy warships without causalities.

My Proposed Solution

  • Keep the passive 1 health gain per tick when the warship owner has a port.

  • Add a more substantial health gain per tick (perhaps 5 or even 10 health per tick) when within a specified radius of the owners port.

  • If the warships health goes below a certain threshold and there are no enemy warships within range then path find to the nearest port and stay within the healing radius of the port for "repairs" until fully healed.

Conclusion
My solution would make warships more intelligent when it comes to coordinating with a fleet and it would remove the need to micro damaged warships that might unnecessarily throw themselves into the line of fire.
