How do you run migrations on a vps when using docker compose to set up other database and api services?

do u install goose on the vps, expose postgres on a port and then run the migrations. or do u install goose in a docker container and run the migrations. or do u write a migrate service in the docker compose.

All of the above are valid. You can also use the goose provider to run migrations (with a lock) from your application. In the same way the app talks to postgres; likewise, so will goose.
