Description
Setup :
1 x AC3 with 2 x gen2 9.5kWh batteries
1 x HY-5 with 1 x gen3 9.5kWh battery
Predbat V8.24.2
GivTCP 3.2
Have been running predbat with no issues for just the AC3 setup and now have the HY-5 added in as well. Everything seems fine in the config except for the pause battery stuff. When I configure the apps.yaml with all that section commented out I get this error :
2025-09-05 22:28:45.737911: Warn: Out of range index 1 within item pause_mode value None
2025-09-05 22:29:15.797430: Warn: Out of range index 1 within item pause_mode value None
2025-09-05 22:29:45.856214: Warn: Out of range index 1 within item pause_mode value None
And no errors in the GivTCP log.
If I comment out the start and end time sections, but not the pause mode section, I get this error in the log :
2025-09-05 22:43:18.494638: Warn: Out of range index 1 within item pause_start_time value None
2025-09-05 22:43:18.494705: Warn: Out of range index 1 within item pause_end_time value None
And no errors in the GivTCP log.
If I don't comment any of it out I get this in the log :
2025-09-05 22:46:18.704557: Warn: record_status Warn: Inverter 0 REST failed to setPauseSlot
And this in the GivTCP log :
2025-09-05 22:46:01,834 - GivTCP-AC- - transparent - [CRITICAL] - Function code 86 recieved. Gracefully handled
2025-09-05 22:46:02,084 - GivTCP-AC- - transparent - [CRITICAL] - Function code 86 recieved. Gracefully handled
2025-09-05 22:46:02,110 - GivTCP-AC- - write - [ERROR ] - Setting Battery Pause Slot failed: ('KeyError', 'write.py', 699)
Is this something you know about and a fix is coming, or is there something in my config that's wrong that you can point me in the direction of?
I've been running the balance_inverters_v6.2 all week since the install and it seems to do a good job keeping the inverters balanced, but then I am missing all the great functionality of predbat. I've turned that off this evening and switched to predbat to see how that works with the two inverters. Seems the least errors produced is with all the pause stuff commented out so will operate like that for now and see how it works.
Thanks
