FR: Search without account, local history

I know it might seem odd to ask this of an app that heavily promotes MAL support, but please allow me to inquire.
I don't want to create a MAL account for privacy reasons, but I'm curious if the following two features are currently included or planned for the future:

1. Can I search without an account?
2. Can I save history locally?

I originally planned to make browsing and searching available without requiring a MAL account. The idea was that you could find most anime, even without logging in, like MAL allows. And then watch them in the same way ani-cli allows. I personally use an account myself, so I haven't focused much on that part, but it is something I will add.

Regarding local history: at the moment, mal-cli logs any anime you watch and stores the details (like title and episode number) in the $HOME/.local/share/mal-cli/ folder. This will (when browsing without an account is possible) work even if you’re not signed in. It doesn’t currently save any history beyond that, but if that's something that's wanted, I can add an option to log all search queries locally as well.
