I get Excel xlsx file not supported

I have: Python 3.9.4

I followed the instructions in USES.md

I am a newbee to python and so may well have questionable install when it comes to excel2json.

Even though this is an old issue, i figured out the problem.
excel2json-3 is using the package xlrd which stopped supporting xlsx files in version 2.0.0.

Good catch, it worked for me when I downgraded the xlrd version to 1.2.0 using

pip install xlrd==1.2.0
