Gnome-Shell 40 (3.40) AND prior versions

This release adds support for Gnome Shell 40.
Gnome Shell versions 3.00+ are also supported, tested well on 3.36, 3.38 and 3.40 (40).

Seems to run smoothly but there will be some UI adjustments in future releases.
