You've run teams before. You know how they work — context handoffs, role specialization, phase-appropriate discipline. These patterns work with AI for the same reasons they work with humans.
This repository encodes that operational intuition into a system Claude can follow.
Most people treat AI as a tool. This treats AI as a team member that needs:
- Onboarding — Role files, project context, operating agreements
- Clear scope — Work packages, decision rights, phase discipline
- Coordination — Handoffs that capture "why," shared state
- Structure — What was implicit with humans is explicit here
If you've built a company, you've done this before. The substrate changed. The patterns stay.
→ PHILOSOPHY.md — The deeper insight
You have multiple terminals open. Each is running Claude. One's building an API, another's on the frontend, a third is running tests. You're switching between them, making decisions, unblocking work.
The questions are familiar:
- What is this person doing right now? → What is this terminal doing?
- Where were they when I left? → Where was it when I left?
- Why did they make that choice? → Why did it make that choice?
This is team coordination. The methodology handles it the same way you would with humans — roles, handoffs, shared context, appropriate checkpoints.
Claude Code also has a feature-dev plugin — a 7-phase process where Claude drives and you approve checkpoints. Use both. Run feature-dev in one terminal while doing something else in another. They complement each other.

The plugins handle capabilities. This framework handles coordination.
You ask Claude to build something. It takes 30 minutes. You wait.
Or: you open three terminals, start three workstreams, and now you're filling lag time instead of wasting it.
But now you have a new problem: orientation. Which terminal is doing what? What's blocked? What decisions are waiting?
Roles give each terminal an identity. Glance at Terminal 2 — "that's Backend on the profiles API."
_AGENTS.md tracks who's doing what, what's done, what's blocked.
Handoffs capture reasoning, not just facts. "Used soft deletes because we need account restoration" — so the next terminal (or tomorrow's you) has context.
Commands like wrap, status, and today keep state clean and visible.
