I noticed that this auto-instrumentation did not come up when I searched the registry for Kafka.
The feature was added by @RonFed in open-telemetry/opentelemetry-go-instrumentation#709
(Incidentally a comment on that PR states that it is experimental, though this information doesn't seem to be carried forward anywhere. I didn't see a way to mark as experimental in the registry.)
