Install the Slack application to automatically get previews (unfurls) for news.ycombinator.com links.

It looks like this:

Simply add a 1 to your Hacker News link, such as https://news.ycombinator1.com/item?id=30167605, and you'll see a rich preview instead of a plain URL.

Development

Prerequisites

• Node.js 20.x or higher
• npm or yarn

Setup

1. Install dependencies:

   npm install
   # or
   yarn install

2. Copy .env.example to .env and configure environment variables (optional, only needed for Slack app functionality)

3. Run the development server:

   npm run dev
   # or
   yarn dev

4. Build for production:

   npm run build
   # or
   yarn build

5. Start production server:

   npm start
   # or
   yarn start

The server will start on http://localhost:3000 by default (or the port specified in the PORT environment variable).
